STORY/GAMEPLAY
The packed sorcerer will return even more powerful than ever to take over Atlandis. Hard times will come then for the inhabitants of the island. Hard, until there is a daredevil who will face the Lord of Darkness. Only a man with a righteous heart will be able to save the inhabitants of Atlantis. This the man you control, who's strength will come from his fine gold armor. In order to defeat the sorcerer, you will have to find all the diamonds that are scattered in the castle of evil powers.
The game follows the standards of a multi-directional scrolling action adventure with platform and slash 'em up elements and a some basic puzzles to solve (mainly activating certain combinations of levers / switches in order to open doors), item collect, bonuses and so on. But gameplay in general, just doesn't meet Gods admittedly high standards. Although its nice looking, the game suffers with flaws in the code, such as falling down ladders if you want to walk over them! Also there are trap doors and pits where you can't get out of it, so a restart is inevitable. It looks like more of an unfinished game to me, without having a quality controlled gameplay scenario fulfilled.
But other than its gameplay flaws, I think it worth a try, especially if... you speak some Polish to read the assistance messages to solve some puzzles)
GRAPHICS/SOUND
The partially ripped graphics from Gods are fine, as well as is the smooth animation of the sprites (although a bit blocky), but surely does not save the serious flaws in gameplay. The sound is also ok, offering a catchy introductory tune, and some solid gun-shots fulfilling their purpose, but doing little to enhance the game.
